What to expect

At Salem UMC you will join a congregation who is very welcoming.

Our church is located in downtown Barrington at the corner of Hough Street  (Rt. 59) and Lincoln Avenue. Salem UMC has faithfully served its members, families, friends, neighbors and community since 1893. Salem UMC continues to be a place where people can find God’s love and acceptance.  

Sunday Worship service starts at 10:30 AM. You will enter the building on the South side by the door with the awning that says Worship Center. Next, walk up the stairs or take the elevator to the Welcome Center. The Sanctuary is to the left once you enter the Welcome Center.

We have a Nursery and Youth room available during Worship Service.  

You may let the Usher know you are visiting. In the pews are cards to fill out if you would like us to know any information. Place it in the offering once it is completed. After the service join us for coffee and fellowship in the Welcome Center.
